UNH Cooperative Extension is offering a 1-hour webinar Tuesday, May 4 at 3 p.m. that will provide participants with a pre-season checklist to strengthen preparation and confidence for the launch of the 2021 Summer season. The webinar will detail strategies for business resilience in the wake of COVID-19, with a focus on the needs and challenges of New Hampshire enterprises that are partially or entirely reliant upon the visitor economy. Participants will learn about a variety of actions – some quick, others longer-term – to implement in the pre- and early season. Intended for food, lodging, retail, agriculture, recreation and other business sectors that aim to increase their visitor appeal and tourism-business competency, the webinar will include tips on tourism marketing and promotion, seasonal staff management, and utilizing visitor data.
This webinar is developed for owners, managers, and staff of both small- and large-scale operations, both new and well established. We particularly encourage participation from small-scale businesses that are in early stages of strategizing their customer promotion and retention strategies. Community leaders and business organizations are also welcome.
Facilitated by Community and Economic Development Field Specialists Jada Lindblom and Penelope Whitman, the 45-minute Zoom webinar will be followed by 10 minutes of interactive Q&A using the chat box feature, plus an introduction to a worksheet that will be emailed to participants.
