Meet the 4-H youth who will be auctioning off their project animals on Monday, September 6 at the Hopkinton State Fair at the NH 4-H Livestock Show & Auction. These 4-H members have been working hard to raise their project animals specifically for this auction. Below are a few of the sellers and animals you will be seeing at the auction this year. If you would like to become a buyer or sponsor of the auction please fill out this form.
Hello! My name is Noah Cullen and I am from Belmont, NH. This is my 5th year participating in 4-H and my 4th year raising a pig for the NH 4-H Livestock Show & Auction. My pig’s name is Bernard and he is 6 months old. I have really enjoyed raising him. I hope you consider purchasing Bernard and supporting my 4-H project.
Hello, my name is Natalee Cullen. This is my 3rd year in 4-H and my 2nd year selling my pig at the NH 4-H Livestock Show & Auction. My pig is named Moonlight and he is very friendly. He is 7 months old. I really enjoy taking care of him and watching him grow. I hope you will come to our auction and purchase my pig. Thank you for supporting my 4-H project.
My name is Lila Smith. I am fourteen years old and this is the fourth market hog I have raised to be sold in the NH 4-H Livestock Show & Auction. This is Sherman, he is a purebred Berkshire barrow. He is going to be a little over 6 months old and is expected to weigh 270-300 pounds at the time of auction. Sherman was born on my farm, a product of another 4-H raised pig. Sherman is cared for daily, including being provided with food, water, shelter, taken for walks, given baths, belly rubs, and prepping for show. I encourage you to consider buying or bidding on Sherman or other 4-H animals at the NH 4-H Livestock Auction.
Hello, my name is Landon Akerstrom. I am 13 years old. My pig’s name is Maple and he is a Yorkshire cross. He was born on February 1st. He’s a friendly pig and I’ve really enjoyed taking care of him. This is my fourth year in the NH 4-H Livestock Show & Auction. I was very sad that there wasn’t an auction last year, and that all of the fairs I usually go to were cancelled. My family has had pigs all my life and I always love going to the fairs. I really like my pig and I hope other people will too. I hope you’ll take a chance and bid on Maple at this year’s auction on September 6th at the Hopkinton State Fair!
Hi, my name is Lucy Akerstrom and I am 11 years old. I have two pigs in the 4-H Livestock Auction. They are named Pebbles and Bam Bam. I have had a great time taking care of them. They’re very friendly and funny. I hope you’ll buy them. I’ve been participating in the auction for two years now and I love taking care of my pigs. Both of my pigs are Hampshires, so they’ll be black and white. I hope you will like them and I hope you will love them as much as I loved taking care of them. Come bid on Pebbles and Bam Bam at the NH 4-H Livestock Auction at the Hopkinton State Fair on September 6th! See you there!
My name is Charlotte Dill and this is my 5th year in 4-H and my 2nd year doing the 4-H market lamb program. This year I have a Southdown whether born on February 21 of 2021 and his name is Gerald. Gerald is a very well-rounded lamb and has very good muscling. Gerald won the Belknap County Fair – Market Lamb Class. I hope you can come to the Hopkinton State Fair to bid on Gerald.
